Larry
A. Zurcher 72, of Brewster, went
home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 6, 2015. He was born in
Canton Nov. 25, 1942 to Dale and Alice (Graef) Zurcher and had
lived most of his life in Brewster. Larry graduated from
McKinley High School and attended Gauladet College for the deaf
in Washington, DC. He worked for the Canton Post Office for a
brief time. He enjoyed sports, puzzles, reading the newspaper
and taking his daily walks. In Feb. of 2013, Larry moved to the
assisted living of Brewster Parke where he lived until his
death. He is survived by his mother, of Brewster; brothers,
Daniel and his wife, Barbara of Brewster and Eric and his wife,
Catherine of Camberra, Australia; a niece, Hannah Zurcher;
nephews, Peter Zurcher and Mark (Dawn) Zurcher and their
daughter, Alice Cordelia; step-nephews and niece, Jeff (Melissa)
Magyar, Kimberly (Travis) Steiner and Mark Magyar; and several
step-great nephews.,He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the
Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster with Pastor Mike Husted
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in
Wilmot. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral
home.
