Remembering Bob Furman
Robert Stephen Furman ''' age 67, of Knoxville, passed away
suddenly and went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 28,
2014. Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was
a member of Buffet Heights Baptist Church, taught at Tennessee
School for the Deaf for over 40 years, and worked at U. T. in
deaf linguistics. He is preceded by his parents. Bob is
survived by his wife of 43 years, Ginny Furman; son and
daughter-in-law, Rudy and Rebecca Furman; daughter and
son-in-law, Stephanie and Johnny Slusher; grandson, Cruize
Furman; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Joan Furman; several
nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends
Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman
Highway from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and a memorial service will be
held at 7:00pm with Steve Farmer and Pastor Dave Thomas
officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
donation to be made to Knoxville Center of the Deaf.
